Linley Freeman

Academic Adviser

Linley, a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Texas Christian University, earned a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Child Development. She furthered her education as a graduate research assistant while obtaining her Master’s in Developmental Trauma. During this time, Linley served as a mentor for undergraduate students, which honed her skills in advising and empowering students to reach their goals. For several years after, Linley worked coaching parents through behavioral challenges and advocating for their students in the academic space.

Linley has a passion for encouraging others to reach their full potential while being sensitive and aware of meeting individuals where they are in life. She recently completed her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at TCU, which allows her to bring a unique perspective in integrating academic success with positive mental health strategies.

Outside of work, Linley is a full-time boy mom to her two sweet sons, Finn and Callum. She also loves spending time with her husband, Zach, and their two cats, cooking, and hosting game nights with her friends.

Linley has been a great resource for my daughter. She had a very rough year in 2020. My daughter fell behind on several topics and her grades were suffering.  Linley stepped into the situation and really helped herr get through that tough situation. My daughter developed a trusting relationship and her grades became much better and she was able to get through the 2020 - 2021 school year. Linley worked at her pace and on her schedule. There was even a weekend session. I would feel comfortable using Linley again or recommending her services to any one needing some guidance with a student.
