Jennifer Woodford
Spanish Tutor

Jennifer Woodford is a dedicated educator of over fifteen years with a passion for fostering language learning and cultural understanding. She graduated from Louisiana State University, where she earned a degree in Spanish followed by a master’s degree in TESL (Teaching English to Non-English Speakers). Currently, she works as the ESL (English as a Second Language) Coordinator at Great Hearts Lakeside, where she is committed to helping students from diverse backgrounds achieve their language goals. Mrs. Woodford is trained in the Spalding Method of education which uses explicate instruction and multi sensory learning. Certified to teach early childhood through 6th grade, Mrs. Woodford believes that education should be a dynamic and inclusive experience.

 

Her teaching philosophy centers around creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore various learning methods. She recognizes that every student learns differently and prioritizes differentiating instruction to accommodate each individual's unique learning style. Her students often describe her as patient and passionate, reflecting her dedication to developing a growth mindset.

 

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Woodford enjoys riding dressage and spending quality time at the barn. She shares her life with her husband and their three beloved dogs.
