Cara graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Social Work and a minor in Business. She is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Counseling, with a specialization in student affairs. Starting in college, Cara discovered a calling to support youth through her sustained involvement in Young Life. During this time, she developed a passion for helping high school and college students navigate difficult transitions academically and personally by forming meaningful, mentoring relationships. She desires to equip students with the foundational skills necessary for them to find success both interpersonally and in their future careers and life. Cara values making sure that each student feels connected and listened to in order to create a positive change. She believes that students should understand and develop their own personal strengths in order to achieve their maximum success. Using a solution-focused framework that targets solutions over problems, Cara encourages students to remain the experts of their own lives. In her free time, Cara loves spending time with her friends and family, dancing, traveling, and enjoying good food!
