Academic Adviser
Growing up in Florida, Justine was quickly drawn to the Fort Worth community. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science and then went on to earn her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education at Southern Methodist University. Currently, Justine works at TCU as an Academic Adviser in the John V. Roach Honors College guiding students through their academic plans and helping them achieve success at the college level. Justine is described by her students as positive, resourceful, and straightforward which allows her to balance encouraging students while holding them accountable. When asked about her approach with students, Justine says, “I like to understand my students as whole people and work with them holistically to achieve their goals. I'm there to help them take ownership of their success and to be their cheerleader!” She is passionate about finding the right tools and strategies to fit each student individually.
Outside of her work with students, Justine volunteers through Junior League; she enjoys reading, walking on the Trinity Trail, exploring new restaurants, and attending concerts. She has recently begun teaching herself to play the piano.
