Ellie Stackhouse
Academic Adviser

Ellie, a Fort Worth native, graduated from Fort Worth Country Day in 2011. After high school, she graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Religion and Film Studies. Ellie is currently working towards a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Christian University. In the past she has worked as a long-term substitute teacher at FWCD and worked with Breakthrough Fort Worth. While at Wake Forest, Ellie discovered a passion for walking with students through academic struggles and seasons of transition as they make future or vocational decisions. Ellie says, “I desire to meet students where they are and from there, equip them for success. It's important to balance accepting students, but also introducing challenges and goals to help them reach their full potential”. She believes that helping students understand “the why” helps generate sustainable change for the future.

If Ellie is not on campus, you will find her hiking, sipping coffee, or in the kitchen baking a new treat. Ellie grew up watching classic movies and might possibly have seen more movies than all of her students combined.
