Dr. Donna Harkey
With 40 years of education experience, Dr. Donna Harkey’s main goal is to assist students in developing skills needed for academic success. After earning Bachelors of Science degree in Deaf Education with a minor in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University, Dr. Donna earned her Masters of Science degree from Texas A&M at Commerce in Reading and English. Donna has taught middle and high school resource classes, as well as, general education classes in English and Social Studies. With her Ph.D. earned from Capella University in Minnesota, she has had experience teaching as an adjunct professor of English at the local community college. Though she is no longer in the classroom, she shares her experience as an Evaluation Specialist at Paschal High School working with students with disabilities.
Donna’s believes that “All students have strengths and challenges. It is our responsibility to assist students in developing the skills needed to over come those challenges and work towards academic success.” Known by her students as "Dr. D", Donna enjoys sharing her passion of travel and the art of joke telling with all of her students.
